An iconic Australian bird, the Magpie is somehow majestic, regal and slightly terrifying all at the same time - but one came to visit our backyard recently and I was struck by how, up close, their stance is almost one of power, and so beautiful. An iconic bird needs an iconic flower - so Maggie in the Waratahs was born!
